BNP's UK branch president MA Malek told reporters that despite getting a specialized air ambulance and a visa, this decision was taken on the advice of doctors due to his physical condition.
He said that Khaleda Zia's entire family, including her son Tariq Rahman, acting chairman of BNP, is waiting to see her in London.
Before this, BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia's personal doctor and member of the party's standing committee Professor Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain informed that on November 8 she (Khaleda Zia) will go to London for treatment. Initially he was taken to London, but after a stayover there, he will be taken to the country where the multidisciplinary medical center is located.
He also informed that there are such medical centers in USA or Germany. Other party leaders also said he would visit London on November 8.
It was decided by BNP and Khaleda Zia's family that Khaleda Zia would go to London on November 8 in 'Long Distance Specialized Air Ambulance'.
Apart from this, visas were issued to 16 people including seven doctors and nurses, assistants and relatives of the Medical Board to assist in his treatment. Among those who were supposed to go with Khaleda Zia are seven doctors of the medical board, Professor Dr. A ZM Zahid Hossain, Professor Dr. Shahabuddin, Professor Dr. Shamsul Arefin, Dr. Nur Uddin, Professor Dr. FM Siddique, Dr. Zafar and Dr. Al Mamun.
