After the loss in the first ODI in Australia, Pakistan turned around in the second match. Mohammad Rizwan's team won by 9 wickets after bowling Australia out for 163 runs. The series is now tied at 1-1.
Pakistan sent the hosts into bat after winning the toss in the second ODI in Adelaide. The start was not too bad for Australia. The team crossed the 70 mark by spending 2 wickets. But soon after that the collapse started. Haris Rauf collapsed in Australia's batting order with the ball. Shaheen Shah Afridi was also very effective with the ball.
Ajira could not do much in front of these two pacers. Collapsed for 163 runs in just 35 overs. While Steven Smith scored the team's maximum 35 runs for Ajid. Haris took 5 wickets at the cost of 29 runs with the ball. Afridi took 3 wickets for 26 runs.
In response, Pakistan got the scent of victory by relying on two openers. By the time Siyam Ayyub returned to Sajghar with 82 runs, the foundation of victory had been laid for Pakistan. Later, Babar Azam left the field after winning the team with Abdullah Shafiq. Shafiq was unbeaten on 64 runs. Babar was unbeaten on 15 runs. Pakistan won by 141 balls and 9 wickets in hand.
