A BRTC double-decker bus caught fire at Kuril Bishwa Road in the capital. The fire service received information about the fire at 1:40 pm on Friday. Two units of the fire service reached the spot to control the fire. Went to the spot and extinguished the fire at 2:08 pm.

Confirming the matter, Rashid bin Khalid, the duty officer of the control room of the fire service, said that at 1:40 pm today, we received the news of a fire in a double-decker bus of BRTC on Kuril Bishwa Road. After receiving the information, two units from Kurmitola fire station reached the spot at 2:08 pm and extinguished the fire.
He said, initially we did not know how the bus caught fire. Apart from this, there was no information about whether anyone was injured or not. As far as we know the bus was standing next to Kuril Vishwa Road flyover.
SI Shahjahan of Khilkhet police station said, we received the news of a bus catching fire in Kuril area. But we are yet to know how the bus caught fire. We are interrogating people nearby to know how the bus caught fire.
