A young man came from Sri Lanka to Madhya Gachani village of Banshbaria Union of Dasmina Upazila of Patuakhali after five years of love. His name is Dilshan Maduranga. On Thursday night, he got married to Bangladeshi girl Subarna in a social ceremony.
It is known on the surface that Subarna, daughter of Nizam Uddin Sikdar of Madhya Ghashani village of Banshbaria Union of Dashmina Upazila, went to Jordan five years ago in search of work. He went there and got a job in a garment factory. Through working in the same garment factory, he met Dilshan Maduranga, son of Lakmal of Nabataka Udubagda village, Dummalchuria police station, Kurunagal district, Sri Lanka. Dilshan Maduranga worked as a supervisor in that garment factory. After the introduction, they had a love relationship for five long years. A month ago, Subarna came home to the village. Even after returning home, he was in touch with Dilshan Maduranga.
Back in the village, Subarna informed her family and when her family agreed, she asked Dilshan Maduranga to come to Bangladesh. Dilshan Maduranga reached Patuakhali yesterday Thursday and converted to Islam. His present is Dilshan Islam. Subarna and Dilshan Islam got married through a court in Patuakhali on Thursday. On the same day and night, a ceremony was organized in the village house of Subarna according to social norms. There has been a lot of confusion in the area.
Dilshan Islam told Jugantar that his own family knew about the relationship. He came to Bangladesh to get married with the consent of his family. He said, he feels good after coming to Bangladesh. He will stay here for some time. Praising Bangladesh, Dilshan said the people of Bangladesh are very good.
If asked, the OC of Dasmina police station said. Abdul Alim said that he is not aware of any Sri Lankan youth coming to Dasmina.
