Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he hopes US President-elect Donald Trump will ask Israel to stop the war. Erdoğan advised Israel to start the journey by stopping the disarmament with both hands.

On October 7 of last year, Israel began indiscriminate bombing of the Gaza Strip after the Palestinian independence organization Hamas attacked inside Israel. Benjamin Netanyahu's government has killed more than 43,000 Palestinians so far.
In the meantime, Israel is involved in a conflict with the Lebanese armed organization Hezbollah. More than 3,000 people have lost their lives so far in their indiscriminate attacks in Lebanon.
Most of the countries of the world call on Israel to stop this genocide, but the US government led by Joe Biden continues to support them. However, world leaders hope that peace will return to Palestine and Lebanon after Trump's victory in the 2024 US presidential election.
Although Trump has always been a supporter of Israel and Netanyahu, he promised a quick end to the war during the presidential campaign. Recalling that, Erdogan said, "Trump promised to end the conflict...we want him to fulfill that promise and tell Israel to stop."
Explaining how Trump can take the initiative to end the war, Erdogan added, "If Trump stops arming the country to stop Israeli aggression in Palestine and Lebanon, that would be a good first step (on the path to peace)."
Incidentally, even if he won the election, Trump is not going to the White House right now. After completing all the processes, he will officially take over as the US President on January 20 next year.
