It is known on the ground that the residents of Morkun Tekpara area have been suffering from gas shortage for about 11 years. Despite several written complaints to the Tongir Regional Officer of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited demanding the resolution of the gas crisis, no benefit was found.
On Friday afternoon, after the human chain to resolve the gas crisis, the locals tried to hang the lock on the main gate of the MH Washing Limited factory, alleging that there is an illegal gas connection. At that time, there was a clash between the factory workers and the locals.
Residents said that they have to buy cylinder gas to cook at home. On the other hand, Titus has to pay the bill every month despite not using gas. We are suffering financially.
