Hira is the son of deceased Praful Debnath of Govinda doctor house of Hamchadi area. He was the proprietor of Matri Jewelers in Par area of ​​Kazirdighi.

Pritam Debnath, Hira's son, said that the father was going home on a bicycle after closing the shop. I was on the motorcycle in front of my father. Among them, three men riding a motorcycle sped ahead of us and stopped on the side of the road near the house in front of us. Thinking that the incident was normal, I went home. Then father was coming from behind. At one point, a man stopped the father's bicycle and hit him with a knife. Later the terrorists escaped. When the father was rescued and taken to Sadar Hospital, the doctor on duty declared him dead.


Samir Karmakar, president of Laxmipur district branch of Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS), said, I demand that those involved in this incident be quickly identified and brought under the law.

District Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council President Shankar Majumdar said that there is panic in the area in this incident.

Kamla Sheesh Roy, the doctor on duty at Sadar Hospital, said that the cause of death will be known after the autopsy report is received.

Abdul Munnaf, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Laxmipur Sadar Model Police Station, said that detailed information is being collected by visiting the scene.
