BNP Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu commented that the expectations of the people in the last three months have not been fulfilled.
He said that after Sheikh Hasina and her cabinet, MP, Chief Justice, Baitul Mukarram's Chief Khatib fled on August 8, Dr. Yunus formed an advisory council with some of his companions. That government crossed three months on November 8. People had hopes, dreams and hopes; The biggest thing in it is that the people of Bangladesh will survive after eating two handfuls. In other words, the syndicate that was formed during the time of Awami League will be broken and the price of goods will come to a bearable level, but this did not happen.
Shamsuzzaman Dudu said these things during an exchange of views with journalists at his residence in Chuadanga town on Friday evening.
He said that the people of Bangladesh thought that they would get back the right to vote. They will elect the candidate of their choice. But that election has not been completed yet or the BNP claimed road march and elections will be held within a reasonable time, that was also not possible. So far the government has taken the initiative and said it will hold elections but has not announced a specific date-month. If it is announced, the people of the country will be more cheerful and successful in the coming days. Until the announcement was made, people were either a little excited or disappointed.
BNP vice-chairman Dudu said in reply to the questions of journalists that 'free and fair elections should be arranged by making necessary reforms' in Chittagong by a leader of AB party, BNP does not need to prepare for any elections in Bangladesh. They are ready for 16 to 18 years. If the election is held at any moment, there are multiple candidates for any seat. That is why the preparation of BNP is possible in a very short time.
In response to the question whether he will participate in the Chuadanga-1 constituency or not, Shamsuzzaman Dudu said, "I am a man of Chuadanga, I have been a Member of Parliament in Chuadanga several times." Since the birth of BNP, I am the only surviving former member of Parliament. I am a Member of Parliament here only as a Chuadanga man but my field is national. I was the vice chairman of BNP and once the president of Central Chhatra Dal. I was the general secretary and convener of Central Farmers Party for a long time. My field is all over the country. But as a person of a certain area, I was always associated with good and bad here, still am.
He also said, "When the party takes a decision, I accept it in any matter, i.e. movement, reforms and elections, and follow it accordingly." Chuadanga-Meherpur-Kushtia-Jhenaidah region will be BNP dominated region in the coming days as well. If people can vote freely here, BNP will win and I strongly believe it will be the same in the future.
