On Friday afternoon, Harunur Rashid said these things at a large public meeting organized on the occasion of the historical November 7 National Revolution and Solidarity Day at the Narendrapur Dakhil Madrasa ground premises of Shahajanpur Union of Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila, demanding a road map for elections and reforms.

He said that November is a historic and important month in the history of Bangladesh. On August 15, 1975, the then president of Bangladesh, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was killed by his family, and Awami League leader Khandaker Mushtaq Ahmed seized power in a coup d'état. Then there was an attempt to change the power of the country through coups and counter coups. Ziaur Rahman was imprisoned at that time. In view of that, on November 7, 1975, the sepoys-janata stopped the plot against the independence of the country and freed Ziaur Rahman.

Harunur Rashid said that Ziaur Rahman Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim was added to the constitution of this country. Because of this, peace and mercy were entrusted to Ziaur Rahman. Ziaur Rahman used to call his cabinet ministers-MPs even at 3 o'clock in the night to inquire and pray Tahajjud and seek help from Allah. Due to which peace returned to this country in three to four years.

He also said that Sheikh Mujibur Rahman came to power after independence and formed the security forces and killed 30 thousand youth and freedom fighters. A group of tycoons killed the democracy of Bangladesh and took away the freedom of all press. The independence of the judiciary was taken away. His daughter Hasina also killed the democracy of Bangladesh. The people of Bangladesh have taken away their right to vote.

He said that the families of 1600 people have complained to the newly formed missing persons commission. These people have disappeared during the regime of the fallen dictator Sheikh Hasina.
