Buckingham Palace announced that Britain's King Charles was diagnosed with cancer in February this year. It was also reported that his treatment had started at that time. Just 6 weeks later, it was announced that William's wife, Princess of Wales Kate Middleton, was undergoing chemotherapy as part of her cancer treatment.
Prince William Cancer said, 'It (2023) was terrible. Probably the worst year of my life. Trying to adapt to the situation and keep everything in order was really difficult.'
William also spoke about the role of the Prince of Wales when asked by reporters.
He said, 'This is a difficult question. Do I prefer responsibility? no Do I like freedom? If we could establish something like Earthshot in this case, the answer would be, yes. And this is my future. It is very important for my position and role. Everything I am doing is for the good.'
William added, 'I'm helping people fight for survival. Doing something that is really meaningful.'
Incidentally, William has started to grow a beard since the summer. There has been a mixed reaction in his family.
William said: 'Charlotte didn't like the beard at first. For this I had to hear the cry. Later, however, I grew a beard again. I was able to convince him that it would become normal to him at some point.'
The Prince of Wales said: 'I enjoy my work, I like to keep myself moving. I also make sure to give time to my family.'
