Russian President Vladimir Putin has said the United States is pursuing a policy of dual sanctions against Russia and China. But such a method is ineffective now.

He said this at the plenary session of the Valdai Discussion Club in Sochi on Thursday.
The Russian President said, "Unfortunately, the United States is following a dual sanctions policy." In other words, they are trying to contain China and Russia together.
According to Putin, Washington sees China's economic growth as a threat to its global hegemony.
'But in my opinion, this is not a viable approach for them. One's advantages should be proven in honest and open competition. This approach could revive America's own, inherent development resources'.
Putin complained at the time that the US was "imposing one sanction after another". But it is mainly harming their own development.
He raised the question, what will be the result of the ban on Chinese products or technology in the US market? Nothing but inflation and higher production costs.
The Russian president also said, "I believe that if the United States changed its policy of 'dual deterrence' and adopted a policy of 'quarterly cooperation' with Russia and China, everyone would have benefited." This creates a win-win situation for everyone.
