Two such surprising banana trees were found in the house of Munim Siddiqui of Alinagar Union of Kamalganj Upazila of Moulvibazar District.

The banana tree is 7 feet tall and holds more than a thousand bananas. Curious people from the surrounding area are coming to see that banana.

According to agronomists, it is known as Hazari banana in Bangladesh. In different countries of the world, its name is Thousand Finger Banana. Thousands finger banana is known as the longest weeping banana in the world.

People cultivate it as a hobby. Bananas of this species are native to the Southeast Asian countries of the Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia. In this type of banana tree, each vine is 6 feet to 10 feet tall. The banana in the upper part of the teardrop is large, but the banana in the lower part remains small. This kind of weeping will increase the beauty of the tree.

Admin Munim Siddiqui is a resident of Yogibil village in Alinagar Union of Kamalganj Upazila and the founder of a group called 'Eso Bagan Kari'.

He said, I collected this banana tree from the Philippines through an army officer's wife (based in Valuka). Two banana trees in my house are bearing fruit. Grown 6 to 7 feet tall. They will be longer. Each tear has more than a thousand bananas.

Munim Siddiqui said, I planted it as a hobby. Its real name is Thousands Finger Banana and Hazari Banana in Bangladesh. I had some seedlings of this banana plant. Many of those who come to visit are collecting seedlings from me.

He said, I am a tree lover. I have different types of native and foreign fruits and forest trees in my house. Many people come to see different types of trees including banana trees. We can use this art in two ways. One is for eating, the other as an ornamental plant. I mainly plant for decorative growth at home. The upper portion of this banana stick can be eaten when ripe.

Engineer Rakib Ahmed said after seeing thousands of finger bananas, we went to visit Munim Siddiqui's house. There are different types of plants here. But I was surprised to see Thousands Finger Banana. A banana plant has 7 to 8 feet long banana stalks. Tens of thousands of bananas are caught from the top to the bottom of the stick. It looks very nice.

Kamalganj upazila agriculture officer Jayant Kumar Roy said that this species of banana is called thousands finger banana abroad. This banana is very rare in our country. Although this banana is very small in size, there are thousands of tears.

Moulvibazar Agriculture Extension Directorate Deputy Director Samchuddin Ahmed said, it is known as Bangladesh Hazari banana. Anyone can eat this banana if they want. Others use it for home decoration. Proper care of this banana can increase the size of the stick.
