Jumbangla Desk: BNP leader and former Minister of State for Home Lutfuzzaman Babar is seriously ill. This leader, who has been imprisoned for the past 17 years, is suffering from various ailments including severe breathing problems, complex kidney problems, and back pain.

It is known that Professor Dr. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University for his treatment. A medical board of 4 members has been formed under the leadership of Shamim Ahmed.

The other three doctors are Dr. Syed Fazlul Islam, Dr. Md. Zahidur Rahman and Dr. Khalid Mahmud Morshed. Additional registrar of Sheikh Mujib Medical University Dr. Delwar Hossain will coordinate overall.

According to prison sources, this medical board will go to Keraniganj prison at 11 am on Saturday (November 9) to treat Lutfuzzaman Babar.

Meanwhile, the relatives of Lutfuzzaman Babar said that he has been sentenced in several false cases including the death sentence in the 10 truck weapons case. Regular marches and gatherings are held to demand his release. After the fall of Sheikh Hasina, most of the leaders jailed in false cases were released, but Babar is still in jail.
