This information was given in the long-term weather forecast on Wednesday. In this situation, the Department of Meteorology has said that in the forecast of the next three months, there may be as many as 13 cold currents, including mild, moderate and severe.
According to the forecast, it may take until December to feel the severe cold. In the northern region, winter can be felt with dense fog from this time. However, fog has already started falling in the countryside and riverside areas. However, winter may come to the capital from mid-December.
This winter season, 8 to 10 mild (temperature 8 to 10 degrees Celsius) to moderate (6 to 8 degrees Celsius) cold currents may flow in the country, said the Meteorological Office.
It has been reported that 2-3 severe cold currents (4 to 6 degrees Celsius) may flow in the north-western, north-eastern and central parts of the country.
Among these, there is a glimpse of normal rainfall in the country before the severe winter. At this time, 2 to 5 low pressures may develop in the Bay of Bengal, out of which 1-2 may develop into depressions and cyclones. Day and night temperatures may gradually decrease during this time. However, day and night temperatures may be slightly higher than normal.
