Al Jazeera gave this news in a report on Saturday (November 9).
Northern Gaza is now the main focal point of the Israeli attack on Palestine. The entire Gaza Strip is already devastated. Israel has intensified military operations in the northern part of the region. This barbaric attack has been going on since last October, stopping all humanitarian aid and emergency services.
The UN's Independent Famine Review Committee called the situation in northern Gaza 'extremely serious and rapidly deteriorating' while calling on all actors in the war to take immediate action 'within nine weeks' to avert a humanitarian catastrophe.
The statement emphasized that this includes not only fighters but also those who influence them.
UN Secretary-General's Assistant Spokesperson Stephanie Tremblay said, 'This warning reinforces that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, as we have detailed, is very serious and rapidly deteriorating. This action is required from all those directly participating in the conflict here to avoid this catastrophic situation'.
This independent Famine Review Committee is associated with 15 UN agencies that monitor global hunger and food security.
