Jumbangla Desk: Chief Advisor of the Interim Government. Muhammad Yunus said, through the July-August revolution, the student-teacher community has regained their freedom of thought and the practice of open mind. He said, to this must be added the ability to contribute to science at the global level. It will be achieved through daily reading and research keeping the aspirations high.

The chief advisor said these words in the opening ceremony of the conference titled 'Bose-Einstein Statistics Centenary Celebration: Dhaka's Legacy' in Dhaka on Thursday. The Physics Department of Dhaka University and the Center for Advanced Study and Research in Natural Sciences jointly organized this two-day conference.

Dr. Yunus said, 'Our interim government is a product of the revolution. So we are ready to take all necessary reforms and make all efforts to create suitable environment to contribute to science at global level. Demands, suggestions should come from all those dedicated to this work. We can do this if we have faith in ourselves, like Satyendranath Bose had, who was able to write to Einstein despite being a complete stranger.'

Among others, Education Adviser Wahiduddin Mahmud, Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan and former SNBNCBS Professor Partha Ghosh spoke on the occasion.
