The police have arrested Chadakat Ullah Miyaji, Chairman of Barbakunda Union Parishad (UP) and Union Awami League President of Sitakunda Upazila of Chittagong. On Friday night, he was arrested in various cases including murder from his residence in Colonelhat of Chittagong city.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sitakunda Police Station. Mojibur Rahman said that on Saturday morning Chadakat Ullah was arrested and sent to prison through the court.

The OC also said that the police station has a case against UP chairman and Awami League leader Chadakat Ullah on several charges including murder. He has been questioned in this regard. Later he was arrested in these cases.
