Charshaulmari UP Secretary Minarul Haque of Roumari has been accused of illegally preparing 459 birth certificates in 6 days. In this incident, the Chairman of the UP gave a written complaint to the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the police station on Monday.

In view of this, UNO has constituted a three-member investigation committee. It is known that by changing the mobile number and password of UP Chairman AKHM Saidur Rahman, secretary Minarul Haque prepared and distributed birth registration certificates of 459 people from October 15-20. Of which, about 97 percent are people from other districts. UP members, village police and local people could not identify them.

According to the chairman and locals, these registrations are likely to be Rohingyas and people associated with various crimes. UP Chairman Saidur Rahman said, about 250 more applications had been submitted. According to his complaint, Minarul Haque joined the secretary post of Charshulmari Union Parishad on August 18. He was absent from the Union Parishad on days other than the joining day.

Because of this, he was also issued show cause notices several times. He was not in the council and the proceedings came to a standstill. Common people are deprived of services. Regarding the complaint, UP Secretary Minerul Haque said that the investigation is ongoing. If he is guilty, he will be punished.
