Although one person from a family is supposed to get a TCB card, there are often complaints of multiple persons availing the facility. As a result, many who are in 'genuine need' are deprived of this service. But this situation is no longer there. The circulation of handwritten cards is cancelled. If everything goes well, Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will sell products through smart family cards from January 1 next year. TCB Spokesperson Humayun Kabir said these things in a press briefing on advance preparations on the occasion of Ramzan at the Tejgaon regional office in the capital on Saturday morning.

Humayun Kabir said that all preparations have been made on the occasion of Ramzan. The products which are imported are also ready to be prepared. There will be no shortage of goods during Ramadan.
He also said that oil, pulses, sugar as well as dates and chickpeas will be given to Dhaka and other city corporation areas. Agreements have already been made for chickpeas and dates. The product will reach the TCB warehouse by January.
Humayun Kabir said that one person should not get more than one person from a family. That is why smart family cards are being made. A letter has been sent to the district administration based on the complaint against the dealers. Dealer recruitment is now closed. Notification will be given if dealer is required in future.
He said, there is no hindrance in reaching the local level of products. But the monitoring is not done properly. The support needed to go right to the consumer is lacking. Meeting arrangements are being made to overcome this situation.
