Jumbangla Desk: The Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection will supply eggs directly from the producers to 13 markets of the two city corporations, including Tejgaon and Kaptan Bazar in the capital.

Director General of Consumer Affairs Mohammad Alim Akhtar Khan said this at the Shadow Parliament Debate Competition on 'Causes of Market Unrest' at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC).
He said, from Sunday, six markets of Dhaka South City Corporation and seven markets of North City Corporation will start selling eggs directly from producers to consumers.
The Director General of Consumer Affairs said that it is being considered to connect the farmers directly to the market at the marginal stage.
He said, 'how to bring daily essential products like oil, chickpea, semai, sugar, dal, dates and the government has taken the initiative to reduce the duty and open the import.'
