Dr. Complaint against 62 people including Yunus in international court

The complaint was made at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, Netherlands, on Friday (November 8).

Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury, the former mayor of Sylhet City Corporation, who is staying in London, filed the complaint. From August 5-8, Awami League and its affiliated organization leaders and activists, Hindus, Christians, Buddhists living in Bangladesh and Bangladesh Police were accused of having organized 'genocide and crimes against humanity' in the name of 'student movement in Bangladesh'.

Dr. In addition to Yunus, among the 62 accused, legal advisor Asif Nazrul, home affairs advisor Lt. General (Retd.) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Jute and Textile Advisor Brigadier (Retd.) M. Sakhawat Hossain, Environment Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Information Adviser Nahid Islam and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan are named.


Apart from this, anti-discrimination student movement coordinator Hasnat Abdullah, Sarjis Alam, Abdul Hannan, Hasib Al Islam and Abu Bakr Majumdar have been accused. About 800 pages of information and documents are attached as evidence in this complaint.

Regarding the complaint, Anwaruzzam Chowdhury said, I think I was the first to initiate (complaint). There are about 15,000 victims who will complain to the International Human Rights Tribunal.

It is to be noted that the then mayor of Sylhet, Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury, was arrested after the fall of the government in the popular uprising of the students on August 5. Later it is known that he fled to London.
