On Sunday night, a notification was issued redistributing the responsibilities of the current advisers from the Cabinet Department . Brigadier General (Retd.) Sakhawat Hussain was first made the advisor to the Ministry of Home Affairs after the interim government took charge. Later he was given the charge of Ministry of Textiles and Jute.

The size of the advisory council increased on Sunday. Three new advisers took oath on this day. Among them, Sekh Bashir Uddin, managing director of the leading industrial conglomerate Akiz-Bashir Group, has been made adviser to the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Textiles and Jute.
