Jumbangla Desk: BGB is seizing Indian goods worth billions of rupees almost every day in the border area of Sylhet. Smugglers are bringing these products to Bangladesh illegally from India. On Sunday (November 10) morning, BGB 48 Battalion seized Indian goods worth crores of rupees again.

Seized goods include- Indian sarees 418 pieces, lehengas 38 pieces, shoes 412 pairs, blankets 5 pieces, soap 110 pieces, liquor 88 bottles, garlic 60 kg, 2 trolleys and 6 illegal stone mining boats. The value of seized goods is about 1 crore 21 lakh 72 thousand 200 taka.

BGB 48 battalion captain Lt. Colonel Md. Hafizur Rahman said that these Indian products were seized by conducting raids in various border areas of Sylhet and Sunamganj. He said that such operations will continue to stop smuggling.
