Science and Technology Desk: Infinix recently launched their Infinix Note 40X smartphone in the Indian market. The sale of this phone has started from last week. This 5G phone supports 108MP camera in the budget range of Rs 15,000. The Redmi 13 5G phone is already in the market in this budget range and it also has a 108 megapixel camera. So the question arises, is Redmi 13 5G the best option or Infinix 40X? To answer this question, the two phones are compared below, so that any person can easily understand which phone to buy.

Both these variants offer 126GB of storage. This smartphone is being sold in Hawaiian Blue, Black Diamond and stylish Orchid Pink colors.

 

Display
The Infinix Note 40X smartphone has been launched with a 6.78-inch FullHD+ punch-hole display supporting 1080 x 2460 pixels resolution. This punch-hole style screen is made of IPS LCD panel and supports 120 Hz refresh rate and 500 nits brightness.

The Redmi 13 5G smartphone features a punch-hole screen with a flat panel. This phone has a 6.79 inch FHD+ display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution supported. This screen works with a 120 Hertz refresh rate. The company has named it Wet Finger Touch Display. As a result, the phone can be used even with wet hands.

Camera
The Infinix Note 40X smartphone features a triple rear camera. The back panel of this phone has a 1.8-megapixel main sensor with a 2-megapixel macro lens and AI lens. On the other hand, this phone has added an 8-megapixel front camera sensor for selfies and video calls.

The Redmi 13 5G smartphone has dual rear cameras for photography. The back panel of this phone has 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6 main sensor with f/1.75 aperture and 2MP macro lens with LED flash. The Redmi 13 5G phone adds a 13MP selfie camera with f/2.45 aperture.

Processor
Redmi 13 5G phone is launched with Android 14 and HyperOS. For processing, this phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 Octacore processor with a clock speed of 1.95GHz to 2.3GHz. For graphics, this phone has Adreno 613 GPU.

The Infinix Note 40X 5G phone has been launched with Android 14 and XOS 14. This smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 octa-core processor built on 6 nanometer fabrication. This processor has six 2.0GHz speed cores and two 2.4GHz clock speed cores.

 


As per the table above AnTuTu benchmarks have been run on both the phones. Then the Redmi 13 5G left the Infinix Note 40X behind. CPU, Memory and UX AnTuTu scores of this phone were ahead. However, the Infinix Note 40X beat the Redmi 13 by a wide margin in the GPU AnTuTu score. In the Geekbench single-core test and multi-core test, the Redmi 13 5G scored higher than the Infinix Note 40X.

In terms of gaming performance
benchmark score, the Redmi phone leads. However, to know the performance of both the phones, our testing team played three different games on both the Redmi 13 5G and Infinix Note 40X 5G phones and each game was played for 30 minutes i.e. half an hour. The following table shows the performance of each phone while playing the game.

The Infinix Note 40X smartphone heats up less than the Redmi 13 5G phone during gaming. Infinix phone heats up less, but Redmi phone heats up more while playing games. For gaming on this phone for half an hour along with the temperature, the battery of the Redmi phone consumes more and the battery of the Infinix phone consumes less.

Battery
The Infinix Note 40X smartphone has been launched with a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. During our testing, the phone took 132 minutes, over two hours, to charge from 20 percent to 100 percent, and its PCMark battery life after a full charge was around 13.5 hours.

The Redmi 13 5G phone is powered by a powerful 5,030mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Its PCMark score was around 14 hours after a full charge. The phone took 86 minutes to charge from 20 percent to 100 percent during our testing.

Infinix Note 40X vs Redmi 13 5G phone ahead?
There is not much difference between the two smartphones in terms of design. Both the phones have similar looks. There is not much difference in the screen either, the size and resolution are almost the same. However, in terms of processor, the Redmi 13 5G got a higher benchmark score than the Infinix Note 40X. As a result, the CPU of the Redmi phone is believed to be able to give better performance.

Infinix phones are ahead in mobile gaming. Thermal control of this phone is better than Redmi phone. There is not much difference in terms of camera performance. But Infinix phone has AI lens, but it doesn't make much difference.
