Jumbangla Desk: The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has rescued the baby girl who was abducted during a house robbery in Azimpur, Dhaka. Within 24 hours of the abduction, the abductor was arrested and the child was rescued from Mohammadpur area of the capital.
RAB confirmed this information in a small message sent to the media on Saturday (November 16) at 8:30 am.
Lt. Col. Munim Ferdous, director of the agency's law and media wing, will hold a press conference at 12:30 noon at RAB's media center in Caravanbazar to provide details on the matter.
Before this, the robbery happened at the residence of Farzana, a government official, next to Lalbagh Tower on Friday (November 15) at noon.
It is known that there was a woman and two men in the robbery team. They entered that house saying to take the sublet. At one stage , they kidnapped Farzana's only child besides taking money and gold ornaments by threatening them with weapons .
Immediately after this incident, Lalbagh Division DC said. Jasimuddin told the media that the miscreants had also taken away a child. The child's mother works in government, they live in a rented house in Azimpur area. He said that multiple police teams are working in this incident.
After this incident, a post with a picture of the child on foot was spread on social media. A colleague of the housekeeper of the house where the robbery took place wrote in the post, today Friday, my office colleague Farzana's house was robbed from the side street of Lalbagh Tower, Azimpur Medical Staff Quarter. The robbers (a woman and two men) took the belongings and the only child.
