Jumbangla Desk: An accused in a robbery case escaped from the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court after hearing the order to send him to jail. Arifur Islam Arif Hatirjheel police station robbery case accused.

Arif ran away from Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Arifur Rahman's court on Saturday (November 16) around 6 pm.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner of Police (Prosecution Department) Tarek Zubair confirmed this information to reporters.


According to the related sources, Arif, the accused in Hatirjheel police station's robbery case, was produced in the court after a one-day remand and a request was made to keep him in jail. The court ordered him to be sent to prison. Later he ran away from the court.

Police constables Siraj and Kajal were in charge of the accused then. It is said that departmental action will be taken against Siraj and Kajol. Besides, operations are on to nab absconding accused Arif and a case will be filed against him.
