Jumbangla Desk: Kushtia Model Police Station has arrested one of the owners of rice syndicates in the country, Chaal Rashid.

Model police station officer-in-charge Sihabur Rahman confirmed that he was arrested from Kushtia city on Saturday (November 16) afternoon. On September 17, the court issued an arrest warrant against him.

Abdur Rashid is the president of Bangladesh Auto Major and Husking Mill Owners Association and owner of Rashid Agro Food Products Limited.

Kushtia Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shihabur Rahman Shihab said that there was an arrest warrant against Abdur Rashid in CR 643/23 case. He was arrested from the city today (Saturday). He was a fugitive . He was arrested based on tip-off.

It is known that Abdur Rashid is the head of rice syndicate across the country. At his behest the price of rice rose. A reliable source also said that there are multiple cases against him.
