Sports Desk: The opening and closing ceremony of '3rd Golf House Corporate Cup Golf Tournament-2024' was held today (November 15) at Kurmitola Golf Club, Dhaka Cantonment.

Chief of Army Staff and President of Kurmitola Golf Club General Waqar-uz-Zaman attended the official inauguration of the tournament as the chief guest and distributed the prizes to the winners at the closing ceremony after the tournament.

After the prize distribution, the chief guest gave his valuable speech to all present.

The chief guest on the occasion expressed hope that organizing this kind of competition will play an important role in the development of the country's golf arena and thanked all concerned for organizing this event.

A total of 650 golfers including local and foreign players participated in this tournament.

In the tournament, Brigadier General ABM Shefaul Kabir was the winner, Major Mohammad Anisur Rahman (retd) was the runner-up and Mrs. Agnes Samalye Nakanzako was the ladies winner.

Senior military officers of Bangladesh Army, Chief Executive Officer of Kurmitola Golf Club, Tournament Committee Chairman, Executive Committee members and other dignitaries including players and media persons were present in the opening and closing ceremony.- ISPR
