Jumbangla Desk: At the end of the month of Kartik, the supply of winter vegetables has increased in the markets of the capital. As a result, the prices of almost all vegetables except potatoes have decreased by Tk 10 to 15 per kg. The price of old potatoes has increased by Tk 10 to Tk 15 per kg.

It has been seen that the traders have arranged winter vegetables in the shops. Vegetable prices are within reach. Most of the vegetables are selling between 50 to 70 rupees.
Traders say that enough vegetables have started arriving in the market. As a result, prices of most vegetables have come down. But until the new potatoes come, the price of old potatoes will be higher. Some unscrupulous traders are increasing the prices at will. Regular raids in the market will reduce the violence of dishonest people.
Karwan Bazar, Mohakhali Raw Material Bazar and Kaptan Bazar can be seen, depending on the market price per kg of brinjal is Tk 70-80, bitter gourd Tk 60-70, dhandur Tk 60, barabti Tk 60, radish Tk 40, lati Tk 60-70, dhundul Tk 50 and Patol is being sold at 40 taka. And per kg papaya is 30-40 taka, kankarol 80 taka, carrot 140 taka, kachurmukhi 70-80 taka, tomato 140 taka, beans 80-100 taka and cucumber is being sold at 40-50 taka.
Apart from this, coriander leaves are being sold at Tk 60-80, onion ink at Tk 60 and chichinga at Tk 40-50. And each piece of cauliflower is Tk 40, cabbage Tk 50 and gourd Tk 50-70.
A buyer named Rokon who came to Karwan Bazar said that the price of vegetables in the market has decreased a little. But the price of potato is increasing. Regular market monitoring is not done. In this, the sellers get the opportunity to increase the price as they wish. Hopefully, the price will come within reach soon.
Meanwhile, there is some relief in fish market like vegetables. In the span of a week, it has decreased from Tk 10 to Tk 30 per kg. Pangas is being sold at 170 to 180 taka per kg, down by 30 taka per kg. Tilapia is selling at Tk 200 to Tk 220 per kg, down Tk 20 per kg, which was Tk 230 to Tk 240 a week ago. Cotton is being sold at Tk 270 to Tk 280 per kg.
The price of chicken also decreased at the end of the week. At present broiler is being sold at Tk 180 to Tk 190 per kg and golden chicken is being sold at Tk 290 to Tk 300 per kg. Beef and beef prices remain unchanged. Beef is being sold at Tk 750-800 per kg. 1000 taka to 1000 taka per kg of beef.
Prices of vegetables, meat and fish have decreased but rice market is high. Government marketing organization Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) data says that the price of coarse rice in the market is Tk 52-55 per kg, and thin rice is Tk 68-80 per kg. In the space of one month, the prices of coarse and thin rice have increased by 1.9 percent and 2.78 percent respectively.
