International Desk: The government of the country has issued some guidelines for people going to Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia on what to do while drinking Zamzam water from the designated container. These guidelines will apply to Mecca and Medina, the two holiest places in Saudi Arabia. Khabar Gulf News

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the country said, while drinking this holy water, one should keep a sense of calm within oneself and seek the pleasure of Allah while drinking this water.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said that when one drinks Zamzam water in the Kaaba and Masjid an-Nabawi, he must remember the name of Allah, drink water with the right hand and maintain cleanliness.

They also said that while drinking this water, it is advised to refrain from splashing water on the floor in order to keep the area clean. Apart from this, it has been requested not to perform ablution leaving the water tap of Zamzam.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah also requested the pilgrims to keep the cups in their proper place after drinking water at the designated place, not to push, avoid crowds and maintain modesty.

Meanwhile, thousands of Muslims flock to Mecca every day to perform Umrah. After Umrah most of them go to Masjid al-Nabawi in Madinah.
