International Desk: The Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court of Malaysia sentenced the mother to three years in prison for torturing a three-year-old child by keeping her in a cat cage. At the same time, Adiba Mohammad Zaini (35), the girlfriend of the child's mother, has been sentenced to three years in prison for her involvement in the incident.

Sessions Court Judge Siti Shakira Mohtaruddin gave the order on Wednesday (November 13).

According to court sources, the crime took place at an apartment in Taman Danau Deser, Kuala Lumpur at 8:16 pm on February 10 this year. Two women have been found guilty of joint charges of torturing the child by locking it in a cat cage.

Apart from this, the mother was found guilty of the second charge of wrapping the child with cellophane tape at the same place on February 21 at 3:58 pm. The court sentenced him to the same sentence and ordered the two sentences to run concurrently.
