Jumbangla Desk: Another 14-month-old child named Tamim Hossain was killed by a child while playing in Noakhali's Subarnachar.
The body was handed over to the child's family after the post-mortem on Sunday (November 17) afternoon and was buried in the family cemetery.
The child died while undergoing treatment at the 250-bed Noakhali General Hospital on Saturday (November 16).
Earlier, on November 13, the incident took place at the house of Abdul Qadir of Charbagya village in Ward No. 4 of Char Jubilee Union of the upazila. The deceased Tamim Hossain is the son of Md. Dulal of Madhya Charbagya village of the same union.
According to police and local sources, Tamim lived with his parents at his maternal grandfather's house. On November 13, his cousin Md. Ismail (5) was playing in the yard of his cousin Md. Junaider (7). During the game Ismail and Junaid got into a fight. At one point, Ismail targeted Da Junayed and threw it at him. At that time Junayed moved and fell on the forehead of Tamim who was in the yard. In this, Tamim's head was cut and serious bloody injuries were caused. His father quickly brought him home after giving first aid to the local village doctor. Later on the night of November 15, when the physical condition of the victim deteriorated, he was admitted to the 250-bed Noakhali General Hospital for better treatment. The doctor on duty declared him dead on November 16 .
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Charjabbar Police Station Shaheen Mia said that a case of death has been registered in this incident. The body has been handed over to the family after post-mortem.
