Chasht prayer is one of the nafal prayers . Ishraq and Chasht prayer times are same. However, it is better to perform Chashta Namaz around 11 am. Normal nafal prayer can be performed till two o'clock. A few hadiths related to this have been mentioned.

Rakat of Chasht prayer:

Narrated on the authority of Mu'ajah (RA). He said, I asked Ayesha (R.A.) that Rasulullah (S.A.W.) used to perform Chashta Salat? He replied, yes, he used to pray 4 rakats. If Allah willed, sometimes he would read more. (Muslim, Hadith: 1696; Ibn Majah, Hadith: 1381)

Sometimes read sometimes left:

Narrated by Abu Saeed Khudri (RA). He said, Nabi Kareem (PBUH) used to perform Chashta Namaz in such a way that we used to say (in our hearts) that he would not miss this Namaz again. Sometimes he would leave it. As a result, we would say that he would not pray this prayer again. (Musnad Ahmad, Hadith: 11312, Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaiba, Hadith: 7888)

Features of Chasht Namaz:

Narrated by Abdullah Ibn Saad (RA). The Prophet (pbuh) used to pray 4 rakats from sunrise to dawn and used to say that the gates of heaven are opened at this time. It is my sincere wish that some of my good deeds reach the court of Allah at this time. (Tirmidhi, Hadith: 478; Sharhus Sunnah, Hadith: 790)

Long Qiraat Namaz:

Narrated by Ali (RA). He used to pray 4 rakats before Zohr and said, when the sun sets, the Prophet (PBUH) used to pray this prayer and read a long qiraat in it.

Tips for practice:

Abu Huraira (RA) said, Rasulullah (SAW) advised me on three things. Reading witr before sleep. Praying two rakats of Chasht prayer and fasting three days every month. (Sahih Ibn Hibban, Hadith: 2536)

Importance of Chasht Namaz:

On the authority of Abu Zar Giffari (RA), Rasulullah (SAW) said, When one of you gets up early in the morning, he has a charity on each pair. Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Enough from the side. (Muslim, Hadith: 1544)

Virtues of Chasht Namaz:

On the authority of Abdullah Ibn Umar (RA), he said, I once met Abu Zar (RA). Then I told him that, O uncle! Give me good advice. He said, "As you have asked me, so I also asked Rasulullah (s.a.w.)." Then he said, if you pray two rakats of Chasht, then you will not be counted among the heedless. And if you pray four rakats, you will be counted among the righteous.

And if you recite six rakats, you will be among the obedient. And if you pray eight rak'ahs, you will be listed among the successful people. And if you pray ten rakats, then no sin will be written in your record that day. And if you recite Bar Rakat, then a house will be built for you in Paradise. (Sunanul Kubra Bayhaqi, Hadith: 4906, Musnadul Bazzar, Hadith: 3890)
