In the ongoing complex situation in the Middle East, the country's parliament member Mahmoud Nabavian called for a change in Iran's nuclear policy.

He said Iran needs to strengthen its defensive posture to deter enemies and ensure the country's security.

He said these things while addressing an open session of the country's parliament in Tehran on Monday.

This member of parliament elected from Tehran said, 'Iran's security is our red line. Enemies must know that we are ready to use any weapon necessary to protect our national security'.

Mahmoud Nabavian also said, 'The Holy Quran commands us to increase our strength as much as possible. This force should be such that it can strike fear into the minds of our enemies and will form an effective deterrent'.

This member of parliament from Tehran said that Iran's enemies, especially the United States and Israel, are planning to attack Iran. Therefore, Iran needs to build a deterrent capability against enemies.

According to him, according to the instructions of the Quran, Iran must acquire weapons that are more advanced and powerful than the enemy.

Rising tensions with Israel and the US

Recently, the tensions between Israel and the United States have increased with Iran. Israel attacked Iran's diplomatic mission in Syria. conducted operations targeting Iranian commanders in Lebanon and carried out direct airstrikes in Iran's interior provinces.

Iran retaliated by launching two major military operations. which is conducted against Israeli forces. Iran has declared that it reserves the right to take appropriate retaliation to protect its national security and territorial integrity.

Iran's position on nuclear weapons

However, Iran has repeatedly insisted that its nuclear program is purely for civilian purposes. However, Mahmoud Nabavian argues for a policy change in this situation.

He said, "Iranian nation must be equipped with weapons, which are more modern and effective than the enemy".

Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has a fatwa that prohibits the ownership and use of weapons of mass destruction. This fatwa strengthened Iran's peaceful position in the international arena.
