This member of parliament from Tehran said that Iran's enemies, especially the United States and Israel, are planning to attack Iran. Therefore, Iran needs to build a deterrent capability against enemies.

According to him, according to the instructions of the Quran, Iran must acquire weapons that are more advanced and powerful than the enemy.

Rising tensions with Israel and the US

Recently, the tensions between Israel and the United States have increased with Iran. Israel attacked Iran's diplomatic mission in Syria. conducted operations targeting Iranian commanders in Lebanon and carried out direct airstrikes in Iran's interior provinces.

Iran retaliated by launching two major military operations. which is conducted against Israeli forces. Iran has declared that it reserves the right to take appropriate retaliation to protect its national security and territorial integrity.

Iran's position on nuclear weapons

However, Iran has repeatedly insisted that its nuclear program is purely for civilian purposes. However, Mahmoud Nabavian argues for a policy change in this situation.

He said, "Iranian nation must be equipped with weapons, which are more modern and effective than the enemy".

Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has a fatwa that prohibits the ownership and use of weapons of mass destruction. This fatwa strengthened Iran's peaceful position in the international arena.
