Advocate Tajul Islam, chief prosecutor of the tribunal, said these things in the hearing after appearing in the International Criminal Tribunal on Monday (November 18) after 13 people, including 9 former ministers, were arrested on charges of involvement in genocide and crimes against humanity in July-August.

He said that during the last 15 years of rule, there is no crime against humanity which Sheikh Hasina has not committed. And these present accused have cooperated with these criminal organizations. More than 1,500 people were killed and more than 25,000 people were injured in the July-August movement of students. Sheikh Hasina wanted to extend power through genocide.


The courtroom was packed during the hearing. At that time, 13 accused were standing in the courtroom. According to the latest information, the hearing was going on.


The hearing on the charges against the 13 accused started around 11 am on Monday. Before that, at 10:50 in the morning, they were taken to the courthouse from Gardkhana.


They were brought to the court in a prison van around 10 am. Out of the 46 people for whom arrest warrants have been issued, 13 accused have been brought before the tribunal on charges of crimes against humanity.

13 accused are - former minister Anisul Haque, Farooq Khan, Dr. Dipu Moni, Shajahan Khan, Rashed Khan Menon, Hasanul Haque Inu, Junaid Ahmed Palak, Salman F Rahman, Dr. Taufiq-e-Ilahi Chowdhury, Kamal Ahmed Majumder, Golam Dastgir Gazi, retired Justice Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik and former Home Secretary Jahangir Alam. Meanwhile, Dr. is sick. Abdur Razzak was reportedly not brought.
