The arrested are the son of Abul Fakir Ahmed of Balukhali camp number 11 of Teknaf upazila. Yasin (21), son of deceased Sona Ali of Damdamiya village. Hossain (28) and the son of deceased Kalim Uddin of Madhya Dewanpara area of ​​Gosairhat upazila. Ahsan Ullah (58).

According to upazila election office sources, the young man named Yasin entered Bangladesh from Myanmar through India in 2018. He received his birth certificate from Kalindi Union of Keraniganj, Dhaka under Ayub Ali Sej.


On the other hand Hossain came to Cox's Bazar Sadar four days ago from Damdamia area of ​​Nila Union bordering Bangladesh and Myanmar. After that, he contacted Dalal Ahsan Ullah and took the birth certificate from Noor Hossain Seje Shariatpur Naodoba and came to Kodalpur with the citizenship certificate signed by SM Mizanur Rahman, Chairman of Kodalpur Union of Gosairhat Upazila. Later both of them went to Gosairhat election office with Ahsan Ullah on Monday afternoon to vote.

Upazila election officer Abu Daud got suspicious after seeing the documents submitted for national identity card. When they were questioned, at one stage they admitted that they were Rohingyas. After reporting to the police station, the police arrested them.

Upazila election officer confirmed the matter. Abu Daud said, it is suspected that their behavior, information and speech are similar. At one point they were caught when challenged on their papers. Ahsan Ullah was also with them then. The three arrested were handed over to the police station at night.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Gosairhat police station in this regard. Maqsud Alam said that the truth of the incident was found in the preliminary investigation. The case is being prepared.
