Jumbangla Desk: Tabligh Jamaat's followers have warned that this year's World Ijtema will not happen without Maulana Saad, the current teacher of Delhi's Nizamuddin Markaz. They have taken a stand on the road in front of Kakrail Mosque demanding to allow Saad to come for Ijtema. This has caused massive traffic jams on that road and the city dwellers have suffered greatly.

Maulana Saadpanthi took position on the road from Tuesday (November 19) morning. The first phase of Vishwa Ijtema will be held from January 31 to February 2 and the second phase from February 7 to 9 next year. His followers want the presence of Maulana Saad in the second phase of Ijtema. However, Maulana Saad did not allow them to come, and in the morning they left for the chief adviser's residence. At that time, they were stopped on the road by the police.

A preacher of the Tablighi Jamaat who was stationed on the road said around 9 am that they had spoken to the security forces. They received an invitation from the Principal Adviser. A group of 10 of them will go to the Rashtriya Guest House Yamuna shortly to meet the advisors.

He further said, we are going to decide on bringing Maulana Saad Sahib. For the last seven-eight years, we have been oppressed a lot. He has been kept away from Bangladesh by falsely slandering our Amir. We are not willing to accept any kind of obstacles regarding Maulana Saad.

Incidentally, Maulana Harun (R.A.) is the son of Maulana Ilyas (R.A.), the founder of Tablighi Jamaat. Maulana Saad Kandhalvi is his son. The supporters of Tabligh Jamaat claim that Maulana Saad has made objectionable comments about Quran, Hadith, Islam, Nabi-Rasul and Prophethood and Masala-Masael at various times. He has been controversial among world scholars including Deoband for his offensive comments. The Tabligh Jamaat is currently divided into two groups.
