For the first time, the National Cricket League (NCL) T20 is going to be held on the ground. The grand opening ceremony of this tournament, which will be held on December 11, was held today. Actors Amin Khan and Siam Ahmed attended the event at a five-star hotel in the capital.

NCL T20 is going to be organized as a dress-rehearsal of BPL. This tournament will start from December 11 and continue until December 23. Former captain Habibul Bashar Sumon and BCB director Fahim Sinha were present at the opening ceremony on Saturday (November 23).

The group stage matches of the tournament will be held at the Sylhet International Stadium. Later the qualifier and final match will be held at Mirpur Sher-e Bangla Stadium. Eight teams will participate in this T20 tournament.

However, as the country's top cricketers are busy with the national team's tour to the West Indies, this tournament will be played with domestic cricketers. However, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah Riadra can join after the ODI series in the Caribbean. On the other hand, Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Tawheed Hriday, Mustafizur Rahman will join the T20 team for the Caribbean tour, so they are also not staying in the NCL T20.
