Jumbangla Desk: Miscreants tried to attack the Chittagong office of Dainik Prothom Alo. This incident happened on Sunday (November 25) around 9:30 pm. However, the office was not attacked due to the activities of law and order forces. Panchlaish Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Solaiman confirmed the matter to Bengali Tribune .

According to police and local sources, around 9:30 pm at least two hundred people gathered at Pravartak intersection with a procession from Gate No. 2 area of the city. At this time, they started chanting various slogans against Prothom Alo and Daily Star.
The OC said that the police team reached the spot after receiving information that the procession was coming towards the Prothom Alo office. As a result Prothom Alo office was spared from the hands of the marchers. Currently, the police is stationed next to that office. No one was arrested or detained in this incident.

Gazi Feroz Shibli, senior staff reporter of Prothom Alo's Chittagong office, said that the marchers stood on the road and raised slogans but did not come inside the office.
