Jumbangla Desk: City Bank Plc has entered into an employee green banking agreement with global electronics brand Walton Hi-Tech Industries Plc. Under the agreement, the members of the Walton family will now be able to receive essential banking services such as payroll, payment, money collection, personal, home and car loan facilities with debit and credit cards from City Bank.

In this regard, an agreement was signed with City Bank at Walton Hi-Tech's corporate office in Bashundhara of the capital on Sunday. Walton's Additional Managing Director (AMD) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. Ziaul Alam, FCA (ICAB), ACA (ICAEW) and Arup Haider, Deputy Managing Director (DMD) and Head of Retail Banking, City Bank Plc.

Among others present at the signing ceremony were Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC Chairman SM Shamshul Alam, City Bank Chairman Aziz Al Qaiser, Walton Hi-Tech Managing Director (MD) SM Mahbubul Alam, City Bank Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Masrur Arefin, MD of Walton. Nazrul Islam Sarkar and Eva Rizwana, Deputy Managing Director. Yusuf Ali along with senior officials of both institutions.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of Walton Hi-Tech SM Shamchul Alam said that Walton has a long-standing good relationship and mutual cooperation with City Bank. Today's signing of this agreement further expands the level of cooperation and good relations.

In continuation of this, Employee Green Banking Agreement was signed with City Bank today. As a result, members working in Walton will get various banking services more quickly and easily through City Bank. Citibank will also benefit from this deal.

Chairman of City Bank Aziz Al Qaiser said Walton is the best company in the electronics sector of Bangladesh. They have gained a wide reputation at home and abroad. City Bank is also the best bank in the country. Today two of the best institutions of the country have come together. Both organizations will benefit from this. Hopefully, Walton will continue to produce various hi-tech products in the future. City Bank will provide all kinds of banking support in this journey of Walton.

City Bank MD and CEO Masrur Arefin said that City Bank has been working with Walton since 2018. Until now, Citibank card holders have been provided zero interest installment facility on the purchase of Walton products. Employee Green Banking facility will also be provided to the working members of Walton from today. We are very happy to be associated with the best institution like Walton, City Bank.

He also said that one tree will be planted against each account of Walton, which is an initiative of City Bank's Green Banking.
