Jumbangla Desk: With the support of Bangladesh-UNESCO National Commission, Saudi Arabia-based Al Fozan Foundation will provide scholarships to young researchers, educators and scientists to support research in STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). Candidates under 40 years of age from all countries including Bangladesh can apply for this award. Application can be made till 15 March 2025.
STEM Education stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics—the first letter of these four subjects (STEM) is abbreviated as STEM Education. In the view of developed countries, stem education is necessary to sustain the economic progress of their country in the future. Experts believe that the countries which emphasize on STEM education will advance in the future. Through STEM education students develop attitude and skills to solve complex problems. Their knowledge of science is developed and students can become discoverers and inventors. Along with Western countries, countries like India and China have also taken various initiatives to emphasize STEM in their education system. STEM education aims to create a workforce for the fourth industrial revolution and the 21st century.
Prize money: 50 thousand US dollars (Tk 60 lakh 1 thousand 471 in Bangladeshi taka).

– 1. Candidates below 40 years can apply.
2. Should be engaged in STEM related research.
3. Be associated with important research in science, technology, engineering, mathematics;
