On Monday (November 25), the writ was filed by his lawyer in the relevant branch of the High Court.
Earlier, on October 21, Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Mohammad As Samach Jaglul Hossain's court banned Matiur Rahman, his wife Laila Kaniz Lucky and son Ahmed Taufiqur Rahman Arnab from traveling abroad.
On that day, ACC Deputy Director Anwar Hossain applied for a ban on their foreign travel. It is said in the application that a six-member inquiry team has been constituted to verify the asset declaration submitted by Matiur Rahman, his wife Laila Kamiz and son Taufiqur Rahman Arnab. In the interest of fair investigation, it is necessary to re-order him and his family members to stop traveling abroad.
In view of this application of Anwar Hossain, the court banned them from traveling abroad that day.
Challenging that, Matiur and his wife came to the High Court on Monday (November 25). Later their lawyer filed a writ on it. A dual bench of the High Court is scheduled to hear it today.
