While the car was on its way using GPS, it suddenly fell off a bridge under construction into the river. This incident happened on Monday (November 25) morning. The vehicle was on its way to Dataganj from Bareilly in Baduani district when it was hit by such an incident. Local residents saw the wagon and its car lying in the river and informed the police. All three people in the car died.

Circle Police Officer Ashutosh Shivam said that a part of the bridge collapsed and fell into the river during the floods this year, but as the GPS route was not updated, motorists did not realize that the route was not safe for them.

Meanwhile, the family members went to the morgue to bring the bodies of the deceased and said that the driver used Google Maps to reach the destination. But they blamed the local authorities for the collapse of the bridge as there was no barricade there. For this, he requested the District Commissioner to take appropriate action against those responsible in this incident.

However, Ashutosh Shivam said that there is a warning signal in the bridge area. There is part of the demolition going on.

Two of the three victims have been identified. They are – Vivek Kumar and Amit. Another person is being identified.
