Sports Desk: Australia's loss was confirmed the previous day. But when that is, there can be disagreement. After reaching the target of 534 runs, it can be said that it was confirmed that no one in modern cricket has been able to score even close to that in the fourth innings. Or you can say 3 wickets for 12 runs confirmed it.

Anyway, today was just a formality. India has done that too. Ajid all out for 238 runs. And in that, a huge victory of 295 runs has been caught in their hands.

Despite finding three wickets, Australia continued to attack in the morning. The beginning was not good. The previous day's unbeaten batsman Usman Khawaja went to pool Mohammad Siraj's ball. Then the second over of the day is underway. He failed in that, the catch went to Rishabh Pant. Khaja's innings ended with 4 runs.

Then Travid Head came to the wicket. Smith's pair with him was frozen. The two added 62 runs to the team's scoreboard for the fifth wicket. However, Mohammad Siraj also broke this pair of them. Smith caught Rishabh Pant behind his wicket.

But Head was in a counter-attack mood from the start. He played most of Australia's balls until the midday break, scoring most of their runs in the session. He hit 7 fours in 72 balls and scored 63 runs.

They had a better start to the second session. Head and Marsh combined for 50 runs in 8 overs. After that, Jasprit Bumrah came back and returned the head. When he returned to 89 runs, Australia's sixth wicket pair of 82 runs was broken.

After his departure, Mitchell Marsh, Mitchell Starc fought together for quite some time. But before the tea break both of them left. In the last session of the day, India got the job done with the remaining two wickets. 1-0 lead in the series with a win in the first match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
