Pakistan found themselves lost in the first ODI against Zimbabwe. They faced an embarrassing situation by picking up 60 runs. Later, they were bowled out by 80 runs in the rain to go 1-0 down in the three-match series. However, the team turned around in the second match of the series. Mohammad Rizwan's team managed to equalize the series after defeating Zimbabwe by 10 wickets.

Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bat first at the Queen's Sports Club ground in Bulawayo. However, Pakistan's two spinners, Abrar Ahmed and Salman Agar, could not bat comfortably.

The hosts kept losing wickets at regular intervals as these two spinners caught the Zimbabwe batsmen. Only two batters of the team were able to play the third innings. Among them, Dion Myers scored the team's highest 33 runs, 31 runs came from the bat of Sean Williams. The hosts lost all their wickets after scoring 145 runs in 32.2 overs in batting woes.

Among the Pakistani bowlers, Abrar took 4 wickets at the cost of 33 runs. Salman took three wickets for 26 runs.

In reply, Pakistan reached the target in 18.2 overs. The opening pair of the two openers, Saim Ayyub and Abdullah Shafiq, added 148 runs. Sime played an innings of 113 runs off 62 balls with 17 fours and 3 sixes.

Shafiq accompanied only Saim Ayyub standing at the other end. His bat came with 32 runs from 48 balls.

Zimbabwe and Pakistan will face each other in the series deciding match at the same ground on November 28.
