Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmood urged the students not to respond to any kind of incitement in connection with the killing of a lawyer named Saiful Islam Alif in the attack of the agitators demanding the release of Chinmay Krishna Das Brahmachari.

He made this call in a status given on the social media Facebook on Tuesday evening.

Asif Mahmud said that the government will take appropriate action against sedition and terrorism. All are requested to be patient and not respond to any provocation.

Earlier on Tuesday (November 26) afternoon in Chittagong court area, a lawyer named Saiful Islam Alif was killed in an attack by agitators demanding the release of Bangladesh Sanatan Jagran Manch spokesperson Principal Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari. Chittagong Medical College (CHMEC) Hospital authorities declared him dead. 7-8 injured people have been admitted to the hospital.

Assistant Public Prosecutor of Chittagong Court Mohammad Advocate Enamul confirmed the truth of the incident.
