BJP MLAs have protested in front of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly of India demanding the release of Bangladesh Sammilit Sanatani Jagran Jot spokesperson Chinmoy Krishna Das, who was arrested in Dhaka.
They were seen protesting with posters saying 'We want the unconditional release of Chinmoy Mahaprabhu'. The opposition leader in the assembly, Subhendu Adhikari, led the protest.
Shuvendu Adhikari told the media, "We demand the unconditional release of Chinmoy Krishna Prabhu."
He said, 'All the Hindus of the world should be united. BJP MLAs protested in Kolkata today. But if the persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh does not stop soon, we will start more vigorous protests.'
It should be noted that Bangladesh Sanatan Jagran Manch held a rally in Chittagong on October 25. Chinmoy Krishna Das is also the spokesperson of this stage. Immediately after that rally, Chinmoy Krishna Das was accused of insulting the national flag. Then on October 31, BNP leader Feroze Khan (later expelled) filed a case at Kotwali police station. 19 people including Chinmoy Das were accused in this case filed under Sedition Act.
In that case, Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari was arrested yesterday (November 25) around 4:30 pm from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport area of the capital by Dhaka Metropolitan Detective (DB) Police. Later he was sent to Chittagong. Today (November 26) morning, Chittagong 6th Metropolitan Magistrate Kazi Shariful. The police produced him in the Islam court and applied for remand.
On the other hand, a bail application was made on his behalf. After hearing both sides, the court rejected his bail and remand application and ordered to send him to jail.
