A cordon was called for on Sunday in connection with the death of Abhijit Howladar, a student of Molla College, National Medical Center in Old Dhaka. During the pre-announced 'Super Sunday' program, students of some colleges including Molla College vandalized Dhaka National Medical College and nearby Suhrawardy College.

At that time, the students of Nazrul College were giving their first year honors examination at Suhrawardy College Centre. Amid the chaos, the exam was suspended midway due to security concerns.

Students of Suhrawardy College and Kabi Nazrul Government College called for 'Mega Monday' program to protest the attack and looting. As part of this, when they went to Molla College along Demra road, a clash broke out between the two sides. Over a hundred students were injured in the nearly two-hour clash. Along with the vandalism of Molla College, looting also took place.

Obaidullah Nayan, principal of Molla College commented that such an attack is not desirable in any way and said that the educational institution should consider every student as their own institution; But the kind of anarchy that is being created in the country - it is flowing in different sectors.

He said, call to refrain from such unpleasant incidents, save the country. The irreparable damage done today goes without saying.

He said that there was supposed to be a meeting with the police regarding Monday's incident but it did not happen. However, they assured a fair investigation.

In response to the question whether any political party was behind the conflict, Principal Nayan said that it was the students' movement. Kuchkri Mahal was there before, it is still there, it will be there in the future. The nefarious circles took advantage of it; But I don't know if any political party is involved.

Regarding the two consecutive days of violence, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) says that a forum called United College of Bangladesh (UCB) is active on Facebook consisting of students from 35 different colleges.

On the other hand, Dhaka College, Eden College, Shaheed Suhrawardy College, Government Titumir College, Begum Badrunnessa College, Mirpur Bangla College and Government Kabi Nazrul College have an alliance of students from seven colleges.
