The Government of India has expressed deep concern over the arrest and cancellation of bail of Bangladesh Sammilit Sanatani Jagran Jot spokesperson Chinmoy Krishna Das.

This concern was expressed in a statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country on Tuesday.
It said that after his arrest, extremist groups in Bangladesh have also attacked the Hindu community and other minorities. Incidents such as arson, looting, vandalism and attacks on temples of Hindus and religious minorities are also taking place in Bangladesh.
India's Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement that a religious leader was arrested after he spoke out against these injustices in a country where the perpetrators of attacks on minorities are out of reach.
Bibribi called for ensuring the safety of all minorities including Hindus in Bangladesh and ensuring the freedom of expression freely.
