Police clashed with followers of ISKCON leader Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari in Chittagong. This incident happened on Tuesday afternoon. Meanwhile, the court denied bail to Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari (38), the spokesperson of Bangladesh Sammilit Sanatani Jagran Jot and the former principal of Pundarik Dham in Hathajari, Chittagong, in a case filed for desecration of the national flag.

Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari was arrested by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DB) from the capital's airport area around 4:30 pm yesterday.
On October 31, BNP leader Feroz Khan (later expelled) filed the case at Kotwali police station as the plaintiff. 19 people including Chinmoy Das were accused in this case. The lawsuit alleges that anti-discrimination students hoisted a national flag on a pillar at Zero Point at the city's Newmarket junction after the August 5 uprising in Bangladesh, which is still there. On October 25, a mass gathering was held at Laldighi ground under the initiative of Bangladesh Sanatan Jagran Manch. Thousands of people from different areas of Chittagong Division joined the rally. On that day, with the help of 9 accused including Chandan Kumar Dhar, the rest of the accused hoisted the ocher colored religious flag of the religious group ISKCON on the Zero Point pillar of Newmarket intersection and around the national flag of Bangladesh. This caused widespread anger among the common citizens.
Following this case, a statement by Chinmoy Krishna Das regarding the sedition case was published in a video message on the official Facebook page of ISKCON promoter Dham. There, he termed the case as an attempt to divert the peaceful movement program of eight-point demands of Sanatani into different sectors. In that statement, Chinmoy Krishna Das said, 'Our movement is in protest against the attacks and persecution of Sanatani after August 5. This movement is not against the current government or the state.'
